Hi All,
We've seen some issues with the Android Forticlient version 7.2.3.0136 that was release on the google play store recently, where users are unable to sign in where saved credentials are not working (specifically the username) and the fortigate telling me invalid credentials.
Tests seems to indicate that it looks to be directly linked with the saved username, as older versions of the client don't seems to have this issue and if we specify the username users can log in with this version.
Anyone else seen any issues with the new forticlient version available from the play store? I suspect a bug, but Fortinet TAC don't support the free version of forticlient.
Thanks!
Hi, I would like to add that IPSEC VPNs for Android have also stopped working with this version!
The error:
I join this thread. We have the same issue.
Looks like the forticlient VPN available has been updated in the play store to revert back to the last working version as of 11th June.
I was unable to verify any bugs or reports from Fortinet TAC, but looks like they have reverted back to the previous version available
Today in the store they added a new version 7.2.3.0137, which has the same problem of not saving the username
We are having the same issue here. Every time you connect, it shows the username and password box. Password is populated, username is not.
If you edit the VPN connection, you see that the username is also missing. Add it in, hit save, edit again - missing again!!! Painful. @Admins, PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED
Same here on 7.2.4.0138 on IPSEC Dialup. I have debuged with global src filter. And if i connect, nothing on the fortigate. No reacation.
diagnose sniffer packet any 'host x.x.x.x'
SSL-VPN is working. But that is not what we use here. Here are older versions to download, but I don't know if this website is serious.: https://www.apkfollow.com/app/forticlient-vpn/com.fortinet.forticlient_vpn/
For IPsec VPNs with Android I solved the problem by removing DES and 3DES in phase 1 and phase 2 and putting SHA-128

Did not changed my situation here... 4 mobilephones, every phone the same behaviour. 2 Fairphones, one Samsung and one Huawei.
I saw that version 7.2.4 was released for Android, but I think it only solves the problem on the SSL VPN side.
For ipsec try this:
