I would strongly suggest you dump the 5.2.5 version and move to 5.4. It is amazingly better. I'm running it on a FAZVM so maybe that is the reason. But the UI, searching, pretty much everything is much easier to use. You can download a copy of the FAZVM and test it for 30 days. I think you will be much happier. I know, .0 release from Fortinet can be risky, but this time the did it right. I would say it was easier for me because we had an 100C which is no longer supported so I abandoned it in place and went to the FAZVM with a clean DB. As a result I didn't need to spend any time waiting for DB rebuilds, etc. Plus running the VM, I have way more IOPs available (via the SAN) so log searching is super fast.
Looks like something is broken there.
How did you the upgrade to 5.2.5?

Yeah we followed the official upgrade path to upgrade our FortiAnalyzer Just dont get it.... The upgrade and the rebuild of the database went pretty good.
I did not see any error's
Sorry I forgot to mention... but the logs that I showed are form the Fortigate running OS 5.0 patch 12 On the Fortianalyzer the logs looking ok.. It's broken when checking the VPN logs on the Fortigate coming form FA
thanks for the update, yes, we have a bug on FAZ side 5.2.5 for view log message from FGT, and this issue has been fixed and will be for 5.2.6 release
