I'm trying to find out if this could actually improve the security and efficiency of sending and receiving sensitive documents across international borders. From what I understand, the SD-WAN could streamline network traffic and improve data protection during transmission. Does anyone have experience with setting this up? How does it handle security protocols for sensitive document exchanges?
The core of SD-WAN is simply choosing the best egress path for given traffic based on IPs/ports, applications being detected, etc.
Nothing directly related to additional securing of the traffic or specialized routing of it across the globe. That's more like a job for specific tunnels (IPsec?) or specific paths (private fiber link?), which can then be made members of an SD-WAN setup.
The SD-WAN is generally designed to steer traffic based on your network setup.
For transmitting sensitive documents across your network, you may consider encrypting the data.
Fortinet's SD-WAN could be a solid option for handling internationally legalized documents. SD-WANs provide secure and reliable connections across locations, ensuring you can get your document legalised safely. Fortinet's strong security features protect sensitive info, requiring good internet for consistent connectivity. It manages and prioritizes traffic, crucial for legal docs. Plus, it scales well from small to large volumes, making the process smoother and more efficient.
