rouitng traffic from FortiGate 100D thru an ASA

I need to temporarily keep an ASA in place. During this time I would like to configure & update my FortiGate 100D. My thought was to connect the FortiGate into an internal Cisco switch with a static address (on the FortGate port) into the internal VLAN on the Cisco switch. Will the FortiGate be able to reach the Internet?

Assuming the internal VLAN has access itself, you could add a static IP to a sub-interface on the FortiGate port facing the switch, and create a default static route on the FortiGate to use that VLAN sub-interface. You' d just have to know the gateway IP for the VLAN' s subnet.
