In the last 1-2 months, my 200B has been showing a 2-4 minute lag before prompting local or LDAP users with a web login screen for authentication. The browser will just hang as if there is no Internet connection.
I can' t quite pinpoint when it first happened, but it seems to be happening with increasing regularity with more users.
I can' t see that it would be the LDAP server since the Fortigate is showing the delay before the user has even attempted to login.
I will double-check, but I am fairly certain the logs show the firewall refusing the connection because the session is unauthenticated (of course). It' s as if the authentication daemon is just too slow to respond.
I am not having any problem with users that authenticate via a directory service.
Has anyone seem anything like this?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Bill
