I have a Fortgate and want to VPN. Do I have to install FortiClient on the users PC or can I use windows 10 Native client?
We dont have the use for other features than VPN.
My question is, regarding to just VPN use, do I gain anythin by using FortiClient instead of Windows 10 Native client?
There's no Native IPSec VPN client built into Windows, there is on Mac. You might get away with using the SSL VPN option but it depends what you need as in tunnel mode it will download FC from the FortiGate. If you're desperate to use the native Windows 10 client you can enable the insecure and legacy PPTP protocol on the FortiGate (CLI only).
FortiClient is very lightweight and has some nice security features, you can choose just to install the VPN client part when running the installer.
