I'm trying to figure out how to get Teams group email addresses routable in Fortimail. We have Fortimail cloud connected to 365, but the teams email addresses are not being synced.
I'm surprised to not find any posts with this issue.
@J-S , I'm trying to understand your concern by asking few questions:
Lets suppose your protected domain is domain1.com.
If the Teams group email addresses are not being synced to FortiMail, it could be due to a few reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. *Check Azure AD Sync*: Confirm that your Azure AD Connect setup is correctly syncing Teams groups and their email addresses to Office 365. Make sure that the Teams groups are visible in the Azure AD and are synchronized properly.
2. *Verify Exchange Online Settings*: Ensure that the Teams group email addresses are visible and correctly configured in Exchange Online. Check the Exchange Online settings to make sure that the email addresses are set up correctly.
3. *Review FortiMail Configuration*: Verify the configuration settings in FortiMail to ensure that it is correctly connected to Office 365 and is pulling in the necessary email addresses. Check any synchronization settings or filters that may be affecting the Teams group email addresses.
It's also a good idea to check for any error messages or logs in FortiMail that might provide more information about why the Teams group email addresses are not being synced. By following these steps and potentially seeking assistance from Fortinet support, you should be able to resolve the issue and get the Teams group email addresses routable in FortiMail.
