Setting up HA with two different revision numbers

Does anybody have experience using two FGT60D's with different revision numbers?  We had one site that would not sync their configuration.  One had a console port the other didn't.  We're now wanting to get another site with to have HA capabilities and support wants me to run the commands available from here.

Since the two revisions are not just memory or HD differences but an actual additional console port.. I don't want to waste a ton of time shipping the unit and then finding out they won't sync... But if anybody else is running the same setup without issues I'd be willing to try it out.
