Hi to all,
I just want to ask how will I find out if no internet through logs in FG-100D? I'm using the Weighted Load Balance with two isp settings having the isp1=75 then isp2=25. When our client complain that they don't have internet, I review their Logs in System>FortiView>All Sessions or in Log & Report>Traffic Log>Forward Traffic am I correct?
Any tips with this complain scenario what to check first will be much appreciated. Thank you and Happy New Year to all.
Regards

Which version of Fortinet OS have you running?
Did you use WAN Link Load Balancing Interface or did you use ECMP Load Balancing Method?
If it is the first option you also have to create a route even if you have defined one under "Interface Members"

Hi,
I'm using the Firmware Version v.5.2.0,build0589, using ECMP Method.
Did/can you check the routing monitor to see if both routes to each ISP WAN connection are up? Have you configured Dead Gateway Detection on each ISP WAN connection? I don't have access to a fgt running on dual connections at the moment, but I recall DGD events should show up under system event logs (assuming it is configured as such -- think it under Router activity event).
Edit: Going to assume neutral DNS servers access have been setup internally or that the DNS override option has been enabled on the ISP WAN interfaces.

Hi Sir Dave,
I'm not on the office the time our client complain about their concern, then I'm not sure if that time both routes to each ISP WAN connection are up. That's why I only check some logs to confirm it. I attached a screenshot of routing monitor. How will I know if its UP? I don't see also any logs under Log & Report>Event Log>Router (no entries found). Anyway, it has DGD configured.
