Hi @joh,

To set up logging for outbound LAN traffic on your FortiGate 60F and store logs on a USB device, follow these steps:

1. Enable Logging for Outbound Traffic
- Go to the FortiGate web interface.
- Navigate to Log & Report > Log Settings.
- Ensure that logging is enabled for the relevant policies that handle outbound traffic.
- You can do this by editing the firewall policies and enabling logging at the end of the session or for all sessions.

2. Configure Log Storage
- FortiGate devices can store logs on internal storage, FortiAnalyzer, FortiGate Cloud, or syslog servers. Direct logging to a USB device is not supported.
- If you want to store logs locally, ensure that the FortiGate has sufficient internal storage or use a supported external log device like FortiAnalyzer.

3. Verify Log Settings
- Check that the log settings are correctly configured to capture the desired traffic.
- Ensure that the log level is set appropriately to capture the necessary details (e.g., information, warning, error).

4. Check Log View
- Go to Log & Report > Log View to see if logs are being generated.
- If logs are not appearing, verify that the logging settings are correctly applied to the relevant policies and that there is traffic matching those policies.

Unfortunately, storing logs directly on a USB device is not supported by FortiGate. You may consider using FortiAnalyzer or FortiGate Cloud for centralized log storage and analysis.

Best regards,

Erlin
