Hello,
My school district is a new Fortinet customer and we have just got a new FortiGate firewall. We have had an issue in the past with students who connect to our network using VPN applications on their phones and circumventing our content filtering. Is there a way to block all outgoing VPN traffic on the firewall to stop this?
Thanks

Hello Tom
Use "Application Control" profile to deny all types of application you want to deny (e.g.: Block "Proxy" category to deny VPN apps), and then apply this profile to your firewall policy.
Some VPN apps may require you to enable SSL deep inspection so you can block them.
Keep your FGT firmware & signatures up to date so you can block the latest VPN apps.
