Hi, I have a question about configuring the connections between FortiSwitches.

I currently have a FortiSwitch 148F that connects to a 124F.

These two switches are connected with a single LAN cable (cable A) between the Fortilink ports and a single LAN cable (cable B) between two standard ports.

Isn't it possible to also convey normal traffic via the Fortilink connection?

The other question concerns the possibility of increasing the connection cables between the FortiSwitches to two.

What is the most suitable solution to maintain the Fortilink connection and do LAN aggregation?

I found this solution. Can you tell if it helps, please?

1. Conveying Normal Traffic via FortiLink Connection: Yes, it is possible to convey normal traffic over the FortiLink connection. FortiLink is designed to manage FortiSwitches and can also carry regular network traffic. Ensure that the FortiLink interface is configured correctly to handle both management and data traffic.
   
   
2. Increasing Connection Cables for Aggregation:
   - To increase the connection cables between the FortiSwitches and achieve link aggregation, you can use the Inter-switch Link (ISL) feature. By adding multiple connections between the switches, you can automatically create an aggregate link, which increases bandwidth and provides redundancy.
   - If you want both FortiLink interfaces active simultaneously, consider using Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation Group (MC-LAG). This setup allows for active-active connections, providing both redundancy and increased bandwidth. Steps to implement link aggregation:
   - Connect additional cables between the switches.
   - Configure the ports on both switches to be part of a Link Aggregation Group (LAG). - Ensure that the LAG is configured on both ends of the connection.
