Please explain why you would have this setting selected in the wireless settings of the AP "automatically inherit all SSID broadcasts" This setting is checked in our AP radio wireless settings. I am trying to troubleshoot an issue. I have a computer with WiFi monitoring software on it. that is connected to the AP. i have noticed when a person comes in with a cell phone connected to the same channel with a stronger signal it kicks me off my remote session to the computer. I have other employees that get kicked off their laptops on this AP also. i'm wondering if the setting above might have something to do with it?
Are you using FortiCloud or FortiGate for wireless-controller? I don't see exact matching config item on either of my wireless-controller environments but sound like it's for "vap-all" option to have all SSIDs your configured to be broadcasted from the RADIO, instead of specifying which SSID to be broadcasted manually. Probably no relation to your symptom.
How many clients do you see connected on the RADIO regularly at Monitor->WiFi Health Monitor (FortiGate) or Monitor->Client (FortiCloud)? If too many, that might be the cause.
