This article describes how read-only access will be enforced when logging in on FortiGate via FortiGate Cloud without a paid subscription. Note the notification icon 'An active FortiGate Cloud subscription could not be found. Access to this device will be read-only'.

If the FortiGate firmware is updated without checking the Release notes of v7.0.14, v7.2.8, and v7.4.3:
Should the user be interested in purchasing the FortiGate Cloud Service subscription for their FortiGates, contact the Customer Service team, who will then forward an email to the FortiGate Cloud team to request a temporary lift of the enforcement.
