Description

This article describes how to view logs sent from the local FortiGate to the FortiGate Cloud.

In this example, the local FortiGate has the following configuration under Log & Report -> Log Settings.

Scope FortiGate Cloud, FortiGate.
Solution
  1. Visit FortiGate Cloud in a browser and log in to FortiGate Cloud.

If the FortiGate is attached to the same FortiCloud and FortiGate Cloud account, the portal is also accessible: Log in to Fortinet Support and navigate to Services -> FortiGate Cloud.

  1. 'Right-click' on the listed FortiGate(s) and select 'Analysis'.

If using the new FortiGate Cloud Layout, hover over the device until a pop-up appears and select 'Device View'.

Select the desired event type under Logview and select the Logs tab.

Result:

The Logs are now visible.

Note:
If FortiGate does not show up under FortiGate Cloud, make sure the correct region portal is selected.

Note: Since Feb 28, 2025: for a FortiGate device without an active FortiGate Cloud subscription, it is required that the device is updated to the latest firmware patch within 7 days of a new GA patch release to continue using this feature (FortiGate Cloud logging).
