This article describes how to resolve an issue where, after trying to upgrade, the upgrade fails and the page never loads after trying to upgrade again and visiting the GUI under System -> Fabric Management.
Scope
FortiGate v7.0.0 and above.
Solution
When the page does not load, verify the following settings on the FortiGate:
Verify FortiGate has FortiGuard connectivity: If servers are reachable, verify if anycast is disabled and has the following settings on FortiGuard:
config system fortiguard
set fortiguard-anycast disable
set protocol udp
set port 8888
set sdns-server-ip 208.91.112.220 173.243.140.53 210.7.96.53
end
Once verified, cancel the upgrade if it is working in the background by using the following command:
execute federated-upgrade cancel
Refresh the GUI. Now, instead of using 'Fabric Upgrade', use the 'Upgrade' option. This time, the upgrade will be successful.
