Description This article describes how to rotate the log file of a FortiAuthenticator Agent.
Scope FortiAuthenticator Agent, Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Solution

In this case, FortiAuthenticator Agent v6.2 is installed on Windows 10. Open the FortiAuthenticator Agent and stop the service 'FortiAuthenticator Agent service'.

Open a CMD in administrator mode.

Select the path to install the FortiAuthenticator Agent to, and in this path, select the 'log' folder.

 

cd "C:\Program Files\Fortinet\FortiAuthenticator Agent\log"

In the path 'C:\Program Files\Fortinet\FortiAuthenticator Agent\log', identify the file 'FAC_Agent.Service.ServiceHost_log.txt' and rename it.

 

ren FAC_Agent.Service.ServiceHost_log.txt FAC_Agent.Service.ServiceHost_log.txt.0

After starting the 'FortiAuthenticator Agent service', a new log file will be created:
