reboot didn't help - realise now that the issue started before I did the
firmware update So question why would a Fortigate suddenly start
blocking port 7789 and not show anything in the logs ?

hinot been back to site with 50E but now got a 80E doing the sameupdated
to 5.6.4 but still the samecan you confirm the syntax of the command you
suggested.. where do i specify server IP and username ? config user
localedit user2set type ldapset ldap...
higot it working - i had been using the obtained/assigned public ip of
WAN2 as the "gateway address" as that is what WAN1 static route seemed
to be set to changed it to the address shown as "default gateway" in
WAN2 details and now it works
