Description

 

This article describes how to check the upgrade path of the FortiGate.

 

Scope

 

FortiGate.

Solution


In this scenario, FortiGate 200F is on v7.0.17 build 0682 and it is required to check the upgrade path for 7.6.3

Go to Fortinet Support Portal and log in to the account.
Go to Support -> Firmware Download.

Choose FortiGate under 'Select Product'.
Then select the 'Upgrade Paths' button.

Under 'Current Product', choose the relevant FortiGate Model (In this scenario: FortiGate-200F).
Choose the current Firmware version under 'Current Version' drop-down (In this scenario: 7.0.17).
Select the target Firmware version under 'Upgrade To' drop-down (In this scenario: 7.6.3).
Then select the 'Confirm' button.
Following this, the upgrade path will show up.

Additional note:
Use the compatibility tool to check the compatibility of FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager firmware in cases where it is deployed with FortiGates.
 
Verify the compatibility with the installed FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer. This must be upgraded before the FortiGate can be fully compatible. The upgrade path is: FortiManager -> FortiAnalyzer -> FortiGate.
