| Solution |
FortiToken has 3 main statuses:
If assigning an available status, FortiToken Mobile shows the error "Failed to send activation code," and the FortiToken Mobile is not trial [licensed], use the command below to refresh it instead of deleting it.
Before running the command below remove the token from user if already assigned:
exec fortitoken-mobile renew <fortitokenmobile serialnumber>
example :
exec fortitoken-mobile renew FTKMOBXXXXXXXXX9
Command to rest FortiToken Hard tokens or TAC support could also reset the token status:
exec fortitoken activate <serial-number>
example :
exec fortitoken activate FTK20XXXX0000000
For an alternative option, disable Two-factor Authentication for the user(s) in question, and apply the changes.
Then, enable Two-factor Authentication and reassign the right token. Enter the email address and select 'send activation code' to test. |
