Description This article describes how to fix the error 'The device's serial number does not match database' when adding a device in FortiAnalyzer.

Solution

Sometimes, adding a device in the FortiAnalyzer Device Manager fails and shows the following error:

'The device's serial number does not match database.'

 

Solution:

 

The device may not be in the list of supported devices for this version.
