Okay, thanks! I will try that after hours today and see if I notice a
difference. I did see that my log is 90000+ screens long! Is there a way
to clear the log after x days? That is, clear any entries older than 10
days?
I think it is the A/V scanner. In the end, I quit worrying about it.
When users complain about bandwidth, I' ll call our state-provided ISP
and see what they pull up out of their routers. Thanks for the input!
Just as a followup and to close this out: I fought my case and won. The
DVR now has a private internal IP address and is set up as a VIP to a
public address. No extra switch needed. Thanks for everyone' s input!
