Go within the VLAN and make sure there is not a reference to "Create address object matching subnet" enabled. If it is enabled, disable it. Here's a screenshot for reference:

Hi Awssman, Not sure what policy you are referring to but there is probably a way to accomplish what you are looking to do. Could you provide some more clarification and provide an example of what you want to do?

Did you check and make sure NTP is working on the FortiSwitch? Time being in sync is a key requirement for the FortiGate to be able to recognize the FortiSwitch.
