Description

This article describes how to fix the message 'Access Denied',' The page you requested has been blocked by a policy restriction' which can appear in FortiProxy with a user authentication setting.

Solution

-In case the FortiProxy is configured with the user authentication but the message:

'Access Denied' ,' The page you requested has been blocked by a policy restriction' appears.

- Make sure that to create the user or group to put in policy properly under Policy&Object ->Policy.

 

To fix the issue:

 

- Go to FortiProxy ->Policy&Objects -> Authentication Rules  ->Create New.
 - Make sure to create a proper Authentication Rule.

- Make sure to enable the 'Active Authentication Method'.

- Under 'Active Authentication Method' make sure that to select one 'Authentication Scheme and select 'OK'.

- After that, wait for a while before going to the client and closing all browsers. 

Then, try to go to the website again. It will show a login page where it is possible to put the user name and password without the 'Access Denied' message after that.
