Note:

Make sure in FortiGate web-proxy in System -> Feature Visibility -> Security Features -> Explicit Proxy is enabled

Scope

FortiManager, FortiGate.

Solution

There are two ways to make the changes from FortiManager, first directly on Device Manager CLI configuration or using a Script:

  1. In Device Manager CLI Configuration, go to Device Manager -> Select the FortiGate under Managed FortiGate -> CLI Configurations (if not seeing these options, enabled from Feature Visibility) -> Search (web-proxy -> explicit -> pac-file-data).

It will reflect the device level database, and proceed to install to make the changes reflect on the FortiGate.

  1. Using a Script and running on Device Database: in Device Manager -> Scripts -> Create New -> Run Script on -> Device Database.

Run the script on the Device Database, and proceed to install it to reflect on FortiGate.
