Solution
Admins frequently remove or create VDOMs depending on the current business needs.
When attempting to delete a VDOM, an admin may rarely encounter the following console error on the unit after applying the deletion command:
Error message: unregister_vf: waiting for <VDOM_Name> to become free.
The chances of encountering this error are low, but a unit with high uptime (close to a year) and many VDOMs configured may produce it.
The only solution is to perform a device reboot, which will release the corresponding section of the system's memory. This will 'free' the VDOM and subsequently allow it to be deleted.
