Description

This article describes how to fix an issue where the 'set wccp enable' CLI option is not available on an EMAC-VLAN interface.

Scope

FortiOS v6.4, v7.0, v7.2, v7.4.

Solution

WCCP configuration is not supported on EMAC-VLAN type interfaces.

When the WCCP control payload is received on an emac-vlan interface, the payload is dropped as the option 'set wccp enable' cannot be enabled.

WCCP traffic must be routed to another interface that supports the 'set wccp enable' option to work around this.
