This article describes the behavior of the Kyrgyzstan timezone in the FortiGate. Before, the timezone of 'Almaty/Astana' would be the most suitable option for the Kyrgyz Republic, but Kazakhstan recently moved from the UTC+6 timezone to the UTC+5, thus impacting the configuration of the time and NTP in the FortiGate.

Solution
The solution is to not use the Almaty/Astana (Kazakhstan) timezone anymore, as this is now considered a UTC+5 timezone. Instead, use the Dhaka timezone, which is UTC+6. Both Kyrgyzstan and Dhaka (Bangladesh) are not impacted by DST changes and are part of the UTC+6 timezone.
