FortiGate firewall allows users to customize Default URL Block Page Replacement Messages to enhance experience when encountering blocked content.
This article utilizes www.facebook.com as an example of a webpage to be blocked.

To block Facebook in the Fortigate GUI:
- Navigate to Security Profiles -> Web Filter.
- Edit the Default Profile.
- Enable the URL Filter and create a new entry:
*URL: *facebook* *Type: Wildcard *Action: Block *Status: Enable

Note: To enforce the block page, apply the modified Web Filter profile to the outbound firewall policy as below.

The Fortinet logo in the red circle will be replaced with an ABC logo.
Uploading Custom Images in FortiGate's GUI:
- Navigate to System -> Replacement Messages.
- In the top menu, select 'Manage Images'.
- Select 'Create New'.
- Enter a name for the image.
- Select Upload Image, then browse and locate the desired image file.

Select 'OK' to save the image. Now the file is visible in the image list.
Editing the HTTP URL Block Page Replacement Message:
To modify the HTTP URL Block Page with a custom image:
- Navigate to System -> Replacement Messages.
- Select 'URL Block Page' under 'HTTP' and select 'Edit'.

In the Message Format: section (text/html), locate the line:
background: url(%%IMAGE:logo_v3_fguard_app%%) no-repeat left center

Modify the image file name from the default 'logo_v3_fguard_app' to the name assigned to the uploaded custom image (for example 'abc'). Note: The height of the image can also be modified in pixels based on specific requirements.

HTML head,Title, and Body section can be modified but make sure not to edit CSS code and avoid adding HREF tags
since it can create other problems.
The left screen will provide a preview of the 'Web Page Blocked' message with the custom image once this adjustment is made.

Select 'Save' to apply the modifications.
After saving the changes, visiting the blocked site will show the customized block page with the new image.
