Technical Tip: How to modify WAN IP settings when using SD-WAN

Description	This article describes how to modify the IP given by ISP on FortiGate. If doing so it is needed to make sure that the changes are made to SD-WAN settings as well.
Scope	FortiGate.
Solution	First, modify the WAN interface by selecting Network -> Interfaces -> WAN port. To make these changes, select edit, change it to the desired IP address, and then select OK. The screenshot below shows the previous settings before the change of WAN1: The screenshot below shows the settings after the change of WAN1: Note that making the changes in WAN1 Interface will not automatically update the gateway in SD-WAN. It is necessary to update SD-WAN settings. Go to Network -> Interfaces -> SD-WAN. Select the interface wan1 then select edit and change the gateway to the new IP. Enter the Gateway IP. Select OK to save changes.
