Description This article describes how to use the 'get hardware status' command to get hardware details.
Scope FortiGate.
Solution

In order to get device hardware status, use the following command to grab multiple model details:

For hardware devices:

get hardware status
Model name: FortiGate-61E            <- Hardware model.
ASIC version: SOC3                   <- ASIC version .
ASIC SRAM: 64M                       <- ASIC RAM capacity.
CPU: ARMv7                           <- CPU type.
Number of CPUs: 4                    <- No. of CPU 's available.
RAM: 1866 MB                         <- Device RAM capacity.
EMMC: 3662 MB(MLC) /dev/mmcblk0      <- Compact Flash size.
Hard disk: 122104 MB /dev/sda        <- Device Hard disk.
USB Flash: not available             <- USB Flash option, varies from model to model.
Network Card chipset: FortiASIC NP6LITE Adapter (rev.)   <- Network processor at interface level to accelerate traffic.

For VM models:

get hardware status
Model name: FortiGate-VM64-          <- VM model.
ASIC version: not available          <- Not available for VMs.
CPU: AMD EPYC 7443 24-Core Processor <- CPU type.
Number of CPUs: 1                    <- Number of processors.
RAM: 1992 MB                         <- Device RAM capacity.
Compact Flash: 2056 MB /dev/vda      <- Compact Flash size.
Hard disk: 16384 MB /dev/vdb         <- VM Hard disk.
USB Flash: not available             <- Not available for VMs.
