Description
This article describes that FortiGate requires to use of the common CORE MIB (FORTINET-CORE-MIB.mib) for SNMP Monitoring, the FortiGate and FortiCore MIB files can be downloaded from the Fortinet Support Web Site, and FortiGate GUI.
Scope
Provide multiple ways to download the FOS and FortiCore mibs.
Solution
1) Log in to the Support portal with username and password https://support.fortinet.com/.
2) On the Customer Service Support page, select Support -> Firmware Images. (https://support.fortinet.com/Download/FirmwareImages.aspx:(
- Then select Product -> FortiGate and then select the 'Download' tab.
- Select the appropriate FortiOS Version directory (2.80, 3.00, 4.00, 5.00, 6.00, 7.00).
- Select the MIBS directory and download the applicable files using the https link (see below):
- Go to 'v7.00' -> '7.2' -> '7.2.4' -> 'MIB' and https download file 'FORTINET-FORTIGATE-MIB-build1672.mib' and 'FORTINET-CORE-MIB.mib'.
Note: In case the FORTINET-CORE-MIB.mib is not present, it is possible to download it from the previous version.
Download MIBs from FortiGate:
1) Log-in to FortiGate GUI and go to System -> SNMP.
2) Under 'FortiGate SNMP MIB' select respectively 'Download FortiGate MIB File' for FORTINET-FORTIGATE-MIB.mib and 'Download Fortinet Core MIB File' for FORTINET-FORTICORE-MIB.mib.
