Solution |
The error 'Unable to connect to FortiGuard servers' will generally be shown in the FortiGate GUI when there is a connectivity issue to reach to FortiGuard servers.
In a normal environment with internet access, to remove the error, there is a need to fix the fortiGuard connectivity issue by following this related KB article: Troubleshooting Tip: Unable to connect to FortiGuard servers
It is also possible to run the below debug commands and open a case with TAC.

However, in an air-gap environment, it is expected that the FortiGate will not be able to connect to fortiGuard servers. The notification will always be shown, and will not be able to disable. |
