Description

This article describes how to change the geographical location of FortiGate on the VPN Location map.

Scope

FortiGate.

Solution

It is possible to see FortiGate showing its location somewhere in the Gulf of Guinea (0°S, 0°E) on the VPN Location map.

The reason behind this is that the Latitude and Longitude is not set by default on the FortiGate.

To change these settings, run the following commands:

config system global
set gui-device-latitude 45.424721
set gui-device-longitude -75.695000
end

After running the commands, the location should be changed according to the configured Latitude and Longitude:
