Can the config file under FortiOs v4.0,build0672,130904 (MR3 Patch 15) be uploaded into FortiOs 5 ? For exmplae when we are upgrading the Fortigate from 60B to 80C..
No, if you just want to change the firmware you could downgrade the device to the firmware of the configuration and upgrade it (follow the upgrade path)
Switching between models is harder tho, that's what the FortiConverter is for
