Hi Fuse Communities, i was hoping someone out might of tried what i'm trying to do and seen the same results....
Basically I'm trying to use the Link Health Monitor as i have a primary internet connection to WAN1 and a backup internet connection to WAN2. When my primary fails i want my Fortinet 60-D (5.2.4) to failover to WAN2 - very simple...
I found the following information in the user guide;
For low-end FortiGate units, go to System > Network > Routing and select Create New.
I tries this and it doesn't work. What happens is when my WAN1 fails the unit should switch over to WAN2 but because i checked the box Enable Bring Down (Up), as per the user guide, it actaully brings down WAN2!!! It should bring down WAN1!!
Is this a mistake in the User Guide? If i DON'T check Enable Bring Down (Up) box then it works fine and the WAN1 will failover to WAN2.
Has anyone else out there noticed this as well?
Rgds
Damian
