Question

Local DNS Server Issue?

I switched from public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1) to our local DNS server yesterday and I was getting reports that one of our WLANs could not access internet.  Our local DNS server has 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 set up as forwarders.

Why would only one of my 3 WLANs have this issue? Two of my WLANs are on the same VLAN and only devices connecting to the one WLAN were failing..

Hello TJAC,

Thanks for getting in touch with us regarding your issue. I found this article, which looks like it may be relevant: 'Technical Tip: DNS Troubleshooting'. If the article doesn't help, let me know and I can ask for a solution.

Thanks,

Stephen
