I' m investigating an issue w/ one a Virtual Fortigate unit that just
hangs after certain commands are run via ssh / telnet. The command
output is displayed, but the prompt never returns and no new commands
can be issued. i.e. get system status Anyon...
That's what I figured. Being able to reduce duplication of policies
across multiple wan interfaces is a nice side effect. But considering
that you must remove the wan interfaces policies prior to moving to the
functionality is a bummer. Would be nice...
Vic you mention the memory upgrades in some units. There was a similar
situation with Cisco ASA' s when moving to 8.3 code. However, you could
manually upgrade the memory in the unit to the new higher requirements.

It looks like they are trying to incorporate things into a nice path. It
might not exactly fit everyone' s idea' s. But they are trying to build
the community as part of the certification process.
