Maybe firewall on Synology blocks access to WEBDAV from specific IP
addresses? I guess. We use FGT60E (5.4) and Synology with DSM 6 and
everything works fine trough IPSec and SSLVPN....
Last year I had a similar problem with HP CLJ M570. After update FCT to
5.4.2 (or 5.4.1) issue was resolved. I recommend also installing the
printer based on the IP address instead of a host name - it also helped.
