Description

This article describes how to create a new SSID on Bridge mode using VLAN dedicated for stations.

Scope

FortiOS 7.2.4 below and above versions.

Solution

1. Create a new VLAN with its DHCP scope:

     2. Configure the Allow VLAN section under the FortiSwitch ports side where the FortiAP is connected to, including the VLAN created 56 in this example:.

     3. Create a new SSID on Bridge mode and include the VLAN 56 under Optional VLAN ID.

     4. Create a Firewall Policy for that VLAN to allow Internet access:

     5. Connect the device and the wireless Internet on the desired VLAN will work:
