Description
This article describes that FortiSwitchOS uses two types of management information base (MIB) files for SNMP monitoring:
- The Fortinet core MIB file includes all system configuration and trap information that applies to all Fortinet products.
- Product-specific MIB files include all system configuration information and trap information for a specific product. For example, FORTINET-FORTISWITCH-MIB.mib is for FortiSwitch units.

Solution
To download the FortiSwitch MIB file from Customer Service & Support:
- Go to https://support.fortinet.com.
- Select Login Now.
- Enter an email address and password and select LOG IN.
- Go to Support -> Firmware Download.
- From the Select Product dropdown list, select FortiSwitch.
- Select the Download tab.
- Select the directory for the image build being used.
- Use the search box to find the .mib file and select the HTTPS link for FORTINET-FORTISWITCH-MIB.mib to download it.
To download the Fortinet core MIB file from Customer Service & Support:
- Go to https://support.fortinet.com.

Select Login Now.
- Enter an email address and password, and then select LOG IN.
- Go to Support -> Firmware Download.
- From the Select Product dropdown list, select FortiGate if it is not already selected.
- Select the Download tab.
- Select the directory for the image build being used.
- Select the MIB directory to open it.
- Select the HTTPS link for FORTINET-CORE-MIB-buildxxxx.mib to download it.
