This article describes how to use Topology Filters to View and Export Information About Modeled Devices.

Solution

 
Information Regarding Devices or Ports that are displayed in Topology can be collected and exported using filters.
  1. Navigate to Network Devices > Topology.
  2.  In the left pane, highlight the top most container in the tree (Example: Bradford Networks).

Filter Example 1:  Display all ports on switches whose name starts with "Corporate".

  1. Select the ports tab in the main view.
  2.  Use the Add Filter drop-down and select Name.
  3. Enter the common part of the switch name with a wildcard (*) (Example Corporate*).
  4.  Select Update.

Filter Example 2:  Display all ports with Current VLAN 84 on switches whose name starts with "Corporate".

  1. Select the ports tab in the main view.
  2. Use the Add Filter drop-down and select Name.
  3.  Enter the common part of the switch name with a wildcard (*) (Example Corporate*).
  4. Use the Add Filter drop-down and select Current VLAN.
  5. Enter the current VLAN value (84).
  6. Select Update.

Exporting Results:

  1. Select the appropriate icon under the main panel next to Export to:
  2.  If only wanting certain information to be exported, click the Selected Rows box.
  3. Move the rows such that the columns to be exported are in the right window (Show As Columns).  
  4. Select OK.
