Description
This article explains how to manage a FortiAnalyzer from FortiManager.

Solution
Since FortiManager version 5.6 it is possible to add a FortiAnalyzer to a FortiManager in order to manage the FortiAnalyzer.

  • A policy can be viewed from a log.
  • Logs can be viewed from a policy.

The FortiManager and the FortiAnalyzer need to have the same firmware version and have the same device capacity.

The FortiManager manages the devices, devices on the FortiManager are synced to the FortiAnalyzer but modifying devices from the FortiAnalyzer GUI is not permitted.

When Administrative Domain is enabled, multiple FortiAnalyzers can be managed but only one FortiAnalyzer is allowed per ADOM.

When Administrative Domain is disabled, only one FortiAnalyzer can be managed from FortiManager.

When Advanced Mode of ADOM is enabled, management of FortiAnalyzer is not supported.
