Description This article describes how to restore the accidentally deleted FortiToken Mobile using the backup configuration.
Scope FortiGate.
Solution

This solution is applicable for Trial and Licensed Tokens after accidentally deleting them without access to the license key file.

The administrator must have a copy of good well-known backup configuration (with a complete list of Tokens).

  1. Navigate to the backup configuration and use Control + F to find the token configuration. Use the keywords 'config user fortitoken'.
  2. Use the Text-Compare Tool to verify the missing Token from the running configuration on FortiGate.
  3. Re-add the Tokens using the commands below:

config user fortitoken

     edit "FTKMOB1XXXXXXXXX"

   next

     edit "FTKMOB2XXXXXXXXX"

   next

end

  1. After adding the Tokens, the serial number of FortiToken Mobile should appear on the list and can be assigned accordingly.
