Description	This article describes details on the ‘Long Term Support’ and ‘Extended EOS’ for FortiOS v6.4 and v7.2.
Scope	FortiGate.
Solution	Login to the Fortinet customer support portal - support.fortinet.com. Select ‘Guidelines and Policies’ from the ‘Support’ menu.     Select the ‘Service Description - FortiCare Technical Support’ file from the ‘Service Descriptions’ menu. Referring to ‘Long Term Support Software’ on page 3 of the ‘Service Description - FortiCare Technical Support’ document: 'Fortinet may, at its own discretion and for selected products, designate a minor release as a Long Term Software “LTS” firmware release. As an exclusive entitlement for Customers with an active unit-based FortiCare Elite service contract continuous until the extended end-of-support date for LTS firmware release, the Customer will be entitled to LTS firmware updates as published by Fortinet in accordance with the Fortinet Lifecycle Policy. For clarity, Customers with Essential and Premium FortiCare service contracts are not entitled to install or use an update of a designated LTS firmware made available after the published End of Support date.' As a result, the ‘Extended EOS’ for ‘Long Term Support’ for FortiOS v6.4 and v7.2 only applies to users with FortiCare Elite subscriptions.
