Description This article describes how to cross-reference Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE's) on the FortiGuard website to check for affected Fortinet products/firmware versions and the corresponding mitigation.
Scope All Fortinet products.
Solution
  1. Browse to the fortiguard.com website.

  1. Select the search icon at the top right of the page, enter the CVE number to look up, and select 'CVE Lookup' from the list of lookup options, then select the search icon.

  1. On the 'Search Results' page, if it is a known CVE, a short summary of the CVE will be shown.

  1. On the 'Search Results' page, clicking on the word 'PSIRT' will open a page with a complete summary of the CVE as well as affected FortiOS firmware version(s) and the recommended firmware version(s) that contain the fix for the CVE.

  1. For further information about the CVE, select the CVE number in the 'PSIRT' section at the bottom of the 'Search Results' page which is a link to the CVE website cve.mitre.org.
