Description	This article describes the error message 'Write I2C bus:3 addr:0xe2 reg:0x00 data:0x00 ret:-121' noticed in the console on FG40X-F models.
Scope	FortiGate 40X-F. BIOS version 06000100.
Solution	It has been noticed that FortiGate 40X-F models with BIOS version 06000100 print the below error during the boot-up process: FortiGate-401F Ver:06000100 Serial number:FG4H1FTXXXXXXXXXX RAM activation ...... Initializing firewall... System is starting... Write I2C bus:3 addr:0xe2 reg:0x00 data:0x00 ret:-121. Write I2C bus:3 addr:0xe4 reg:0x00 data:0x00 ret:-121. FortiGate will not be able to get the transceiver status/info due to this issue. Collect the console log which shows this error and the output of the below-listed command from FortiGate CLI.
