Description

This article describes how to automatically block internet access on a VLAN during specific days and times.
Internet access will be restricted and restored based on the schedule established.

Scope

FortiGate.

Solution

Select the Policy & Objects -> Schedules -> Create New.

When setting a schedule, it is possible to do it by Days and Time.

Select Policy & Objects -> Firewall Policy -> Create New.

Set the Incoming interface on the target VLAN.
Set Schedule by selecting the drop-down arrow, then choose the created schedule.

Select OK.
Ensure that this new policy is above the rule that allows the traffic.
