Hi, i have 3 locations in 3 different cities. 2 of my locations i have successfully port forwarded to my printer and i can print from any location to those printers. Those routers are not Fortigate routers. Somehow i cannot print at the 3rd location where we use a Fortigate. The ip address of the 3rd location is for example 65.65.65.65 and the ip address of the printer is 192.168.20.4 i have added under firewall -> virtual ip a port forward like this: Edit Virtual IP Mapping Name - Printer External Interface - external Type Static NAT - Port Forwarding External IP Address - 65.65.65.65 External Service Port - 9100 Map to IP - 192.168.20.4 Map to Port - 9100 The printer still appears offline and i cannot print anything to the printer either. do i miss something? Works fine und Linksys and DLink. Spend now 2 days and simply cannot get to print thru the Fortigate :( Help needed Thanks Gill

we have a vpn too the problem it is not working. Cause 3rd location is in the states an we want to print from canada' s vpn. so i thought i should print over the internet and it should work. I always have trouble with Fortigate. Very complicated router. i have no idea where i have to add any other changes.

Policy 3 should be from external to internal. The service (if custom) should be: source port range 1-65535 destination port range 9100-9100

Did you configure the gateway on your printer network (or jet direct) settings?

i do not understand what you mean ? can you explain i did exactly (i think) what i did at the other locations. All i want is to port forward 9100 to the ip of the printer behind the fortigate.
