Missing feature in web interface

I'm looking for the application list selector which is supposed to show up in the upper right corner of the Application Sensor window. Here's a screenshot of what I see (top) vs. what I think I should see (bottom -- "correct interface" -- I grabbed that from a Fortinet resource). 

Anyone else run into this problem and/or have a recommended fix? I assume it's a firmware related bug. I'm running 5.0 patch 7 on a FortiGate 60c.  Before digging too deeply or scheduling a firmware update, I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious, like a setting somewhere that disables multiple application lists or something. Thanks for your help!
